OUR VALUES

In Partnership with nature

“In partnership with Nature” means we run the camp in ways that ruin the pristine environment.

Solar panels heat the water. The natural spring nearby overflows, so we pipe that water into camp instead of letting it go to waste. Construction materials were chosen to work with the surroundings, not against them.

We grow vegetables in a kitchen garden. There’s an apiary on site for honey.

These aren’t token gestures. They’re how the camp operates daily. You get a good stay, and the Mara stays intact.

Castel Mara Guarantees

Beyond Luxury, Cultivating Intimate Experiences

We want you comfortable and happy during your stay. The team here works to give you more than the standard package.

This starts before you arrive: planning your trip, answering questions, sorting out details. It continues through your time at camp with service that adapts to what you actually need. And it extends past checkout, because we want you to leave with good memories, not just photos.

The staff here will guide you through the reserve, but they’ll also talk to you like actual people. Ask them questions. They’ll adjust accordingly.

Elegance Meets the Untamed Wilderness

Your tent sits in the middle of raw landscape. Inside, you get comfortable furniture with fabrics made locally. The views go on for miles in every direction.

Step out onto your private veranda and listen. Animal sounds carry across the plains. No traffic, no city noise. Just the Mara doing what it does.

The tent walls don’t block you off from nature. They put you right in it, but with a proper bed and somewhere to sit. That’s the setup here—comfort where you wouldn’t normally find it.

Explorer: Adventures Beyond the Usual

Game drives are just the start.

The Masai Mara has more to do once you’re here. Go up in a hot air balloon and see the reserve from above. Visit a Masai village and spend time with people who’ve lived on this land for generations. Walk the old elephant migration routes with a guide who knows where to step.

Each day you can pick something different. The staff will arrange whatever you’re after. You’re not locked into one type of activity mix it up based on what you actually want to do.

Your Private Playground in the Wild

Castel Mara stays small. You won’t find crowds here. Game drives go out with your group, not twenty other people.

Dinners happen under the stars with your party, not a full dining room. When you want quiet, you get it. The camp size limits how many guests can stay at once.

That means you’re not competing for vehicles, meal times, or staff attention. You get space to actually experience the Mara without other tourists in every frame. It’s you and the wild. That’s the point.
